The Security System Business is Growing Rapidly!
While that is very good for my business, it is not necessarily good for the customers. Because of this, many more people & companies are entering the industry. From the smallest one man start-up operations to some of the largest & most respected corporations in America are entering the business.
For over 100 years there have been many solid up-standing companies involved in the installation, service & monitoring of security systems. However, with the increased crime awareness brought about by the media and the advent of economical security systems for homes & businesses, many more companies have begun. They have seen the increased need for the services we offer and aren't about to miss out on an additional dollar. While I have no difficulty understanding their desire to increase their bankroll, I do feel that the security of Your home, family & business are too important to leave in the hands of a company whose primary goal is to show their investors an additional profit. While we certainly wouldn't be in this business if we didn't make a profit, We do have a deep commitment to the safety and security of our customers that helps us keep going - day in - day out.
Before You Purchase a Security System
Please take the time to understand all of the options. Ask your salesperson to see their "contract" - this is not the same as the "proposal" form that most salespeople use. If they will not show it to you, or don't have a copy of it to show you - Do not sign the proposal - this can bind you to the contract before you have even seen it! The actual contract will spell out the companies policies - unfortunately these may not always agree with what the salesman states. Remember, most salesmen are employees - they may not be there later when you are trying to get the company to stand by what the salesman told you!
